ATA 300 certification successfully completed

Two SINORA hard-shell protective cases in an aeroplane

Our SINORA transport cases have successfully passed their tests and are now officially ATA 300 certified. This internationally recognised standard confirms their suitability for particularly demanding transport tasks – especially in the air freight sector. This makes them ideal for the safe transport of high-quality and sensitive equipment that must also be ready for use at any time.

The completed tests prove the high resistance of SINORA cases. They are designed for scenarios in which high mechanical stresses, frequent reloading and tight time windows are part of everyday life.

What does ATA 300 mean?

The ATA 300 standard was developed by the Air Transport Association and is internationally recognised as one of the most stringent testing standards for reusable transport cases. The aim was to create a uniform quality standard for cases that have to withstand the particular stresses of air freight transport on a permanent basis.

These include, among other factors:

  • Rough handling during ground handling
  • Frequent reloading
  • Stacking and pressure stresses
  • Impact and drop stresses
  • High stress due to tight transport cycles

Due to these high requirements, ATA 300 has long since established itself beyond aviation as the reference standard for robust, durable transport and protective cases.

SINORA has passed these tests

As part of the ATA 300 certification, our cases were subjected to extensive stress tests that simulate real transport conditions. These included:

  • Drop and impact tests from defined heights
  • Functional tests of locks and handles
  • Structural stability tests
  • Water resistance tests under simulated continuous rain
  • Stress tests under strong vibrations

The cases were dropped onto a steel plate from various positions in order to realistically simulate typical stresses during loading and handling. All tests were passed successfully.

Advantages of ATA 300 certification

The certification offers users clear and measurable advantages:

  • Proven durability through standardised testing procedures
  • High operational reliability for frequent transport
  • Reduced risk of transport damage
  • Long service life even with intensive use
  • Planning reliability for demanding transport requirements
  • Reliable basis for decision-making in procurement and use

ATA 300 offers objective guidance on material quality, construction and protective performance, particularly in areas of application where transport conditions are difficult to plan.

Relevance for security and defence

Due to its origins and test requirements, ATA 300 certification is particularly relevant for government organisations, security-critical applications and the defence sector. Here, transport cases must reliably protect sensitive technology and goods – even under continuous stress and frequent transport.

ATA 300 offers a neutral and comparable standard for thoroughly evaluating the suitability of transport cases for such areas of application.

Uncompromising protection for demanding applications

ATA 300-certified transport cases are useful wherever technology not only has to arrive safely, but also has to be ready for immediate use. The certification creates transparency and comparability in terms of durability and reliability.

We are therefore delighted to be able to offer our customers ATA 300 certification in addition to our lifetime warranty, IP67 and MIL-STD-810 certifications.

The successful certification confirms:
SINORA cases stand for uncompromising protection, high durability and maximum reliability – even under extreme conditions.
